We researched and wrote informative reports about this special little blue duck that only lives in New Zealand and is even more endangered than our kiwi. In fact as you will read from the kids reports there are less than 3000 left. They only live in fast flowing clean rivers and are pretty amazing little birds. You can see a whio on the $10 note.
This week we will be sharing our thoughts and learning on the whio at assembly. We have also learnt a cute little whio song, so come a long and hear it.
Here are a few of our whio reports to wet your appetites. If you want to hear more, come to Thursdays assembly at 9.00am.
